FAQ

Everything you want to know about our ghee.

Frequently asked questions

1. What is ghee?

Ghee is butter that has been slowly cooked until it turns golden, rich and nutty. Ours is made by hand in London, the way my grandma made it. We use grass-fed dairy and organic cream to make our own butter, then slowly turn it into pure ghee.

2. Is it lactose free?

I can only tell you what I know for sure: our ghee is made from butter, so it contains milk. If you have a milk allergy or an intolerance, please check with your doctor before you buy.

3. Why is my ghee grainy?

Don’t worry, this is natural. Ghee changes with the season and the temperature. It can be soft, grainy or smooth, and all of these are normal. It’s still the same pure ghee.

4. How long does it last?

Please check the best-before date on your jar. [Add shelf life once confirmed.] Keep it in a cool, dry place and use a clean, dry spoon every time.

5. How should I store it?

Keep it in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight. Always use a clean, dry spoon.

6. Do you deliver across the UK?

Yes, we deliver to UK customers.  Orders placed today are dispatched in 1-2 working days. Delivery is free on orders over £[XX]. Our jars are glass, so we pack each one carefully in a strong, padded box.

7. Can I order wholesale?

Yes, wholesale enquiries are welcome, for cafes and shops. Please send us a message through the Contact page, and we’ll get back to you.
